The conference facilities of Lisbon received a major boost recently, with the opening of a new conference and exhibition venue, the Freeport Congress Centre. Originally a cinema, it had a sizeable amount of money spent on it so that it could be transformed into one of the most modern conference centres in Portugal. It now contains 20 auditoriums and over 2,000 square meters of exhibition hall, as well as being kitted out with the latest in conference technology. Situated a mere 20 minutes away from the main international airport, it is hoped that this addition to the conference facilities will put Portugal at the forefront of international exhibitions and trade fairs. Also in Lisbon is the Estoril Congress Centre and the Golden Tulip Altis Suites, which are both more than capable of hosting major conferences and conventions.

Finding the right people to front your stall or booth at a trade fair or similar event is important if you want to entice people to your exhibit. Expo Stars are a promotion staff agency who can provide you with the right kind of people, so that your stall or exhibit gets noticed. Expo Stars only provide good looking, bright, confident and well presented staff in a number of vital roles. No exhibit should be without the best event coordinators, promo staff, tradeshow hostesses and other staff who are experienced in engaging visitors.

Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal and it is famous for being one of the oldest cities in the world, and it is well loved for its Romanesque and Baroque architecture. Getting around town and to and from your conference site is easy thanks to the excellent public transportation system, which includes a metro, trams and a bus network. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, then you are not going to be disappointed at the amount of choice, from the humble B&B Casa Amora Guesthouse, right up to the Dom Pedro Palace, with its five-star luxury.
